Fun Friday!

This afternoon some of my family met at my house and then we filled our strollers with little bodies and went on a walk through the trails to feed the ducks and play at the park.

It was really cute seeing how much fun Paden, Evan and Jackson were having together...I love it when they get old enough to play and interact with each other! They were having the BEST time feeding the ducks (until some nasty dog jumped out of no where scaring all of us and the ducks away) look at the expressions on their faces.

The whole gang!

One more thing. Last Wednesday home girl and I went running and when I got home I could sense that Robby was up to something and then I saw the sweetest post ever, I was pretty surprised!
I'm a lucky girl.

The Best Wife!

I know a woman who is unselfish, full of love, kind, beautiful, and is everything a guy could ask for! Without her, my life would be chaos and in a sense meaningless. She makes me want to get out of bed and accomplish something great in my life just because she deserves it, and in turn makes me a better man every day! What more could a man ask of a woman than her empowering him to be the best he could be! My wife is the sweetest and most sensitive person. Every day I see her kneeling in prayer and teaching my children the best things in life all while making us laugh and making it fun! She puts a big fat smile on my face! A fat, fat smile because I love her so much. April Loveland, I would marry you a million, billion, infinity times more! I Love you!

Birthday Party!

My mom had a birthday last Saturday and to celebrate my parents planned a three day trip to Matia Island but before they took off my dad and us kids had a little surprise for her!

After they loaded up the boat he told her he wanted to go on a little stroll along the path at Squalicum Harbor (TOTALLY not like my dad, he's ready to go as soon as his feet touch the boat) During their walk they stopped at a park bench outside of Weblockers and that's when we drove up bringing with us balloons and a delicious chocolate cake!

The look on my mom's face was HILARIOUS, I wish I had my camera rolling. So to celebrate her birthday we ate lunch at Weblockers and then devoured the most delicious chocolate cheesecake EVER, it's from Chocolate Necessities...go and buy one.

Someone came to the rescue and saved our balloons. These were some special balloons, Evan was in tears when they floated away.

After lunch we walked them to their boat and waved goodbye!

By the way my parents are the best! They came over last night and put the kids to bed so Robby and I could go on a date. We watched the movie The Time Traveller's Wife...it was so good. By the end of the movie I was crying and Robby was even fighting off tears.

this is what happened...

...when the boys helped out with the laundry.??

I had enough so I kicked Robby and the boys outside to do some more manly type of work.

another weekly roundup...

This past week has been really busy for me, beginning AND ending with bee stings, me covered in throw up and lots of potty training! Let me explain...

A week ago (I think it was last Sunday) I was in the kitchen holding Kai. I put Kai down on the ground and walked away for only a few seconds when I heard him screaming in pain. I ran back to see what could have happened in such a short time and I saw him rubbing his mouth and chewing on something. I picked him back up and tried to scoop out whatever it was in his mouth. This was difficult because he was chomping on it like crazy. I was finally able to get it out and it was a BEE!! You heard me right Kai was eating a bee and it had stung him on the inside of his lip. Poor boy.

Could someone explain to me how this happened?!!

I gave Kai a popsicle to help with the stinging.
By the way I LOVE these smaller slow melting popsicles, they are the BEST, perfect for when your child gets stung in the mouth by a bee!!

A few days after the whole bee incident another equally crazy thing happened...

I decided to take the kids for a walk. I thought a fun walk along the trails to feed the ducks and then to play at the park was something the kids and I both needed because the weather had been cloudy and it was finally clearing up a bit. After Kai and Evan woke up from their naps I started getting all three boys dressed and ready to go.

I should have listened to the very first indication NOT to leave the house when all three of the boys began screaming and crying as I was getting them dressed. But I didn't listen and I thought as soon as we get outside they'll be happy and we can enjoy ourselves. I loaded Evan and Kai in the double jogging stroller and Paden and I walked together behind.

As soon as we got on the trail Paden started crying and limping and saying he couldn't walk because his foot hurt. So I stopped and examined his foot and discovered he had a large blister. I took Evan out of the stroller and put Paden in his spot but as soon as I did this Evan began crying too and then he threw up all over the both of us. I was completely covered from neck to knees. So the only thing left to do was to take Kai out of the stroller, put Evan back in the stroller and try to get home as quickly as possible. The only problem was that it's impossible to push the stroller with one arm while holding a baby in the other so I had to put Kai on top of the stroller!

As I was heading back to the cross walk there were cars EVERYWHERE (of course there were no cars on the way to the park but on the way back as I'm covered and dripping with throw up, kids crying in the stroller and a baby on top that's when there are cars AND everyone staring at me) so I am crossing the cross walk and I look up at this woman in her car and she is glaring and shaking her head at me like I am the worst mother in the world....ahhhhh!

I felt my face turn red. I wanted to cry, scream and yell!
I snapped a picture just to remind myself to NEVER leave home alone with these three again because you NEVER know what's going to happen.

The best thing that happened this week was Evan is now a big boy and goes potty in the big boy potty! I love when this happens! It was a lot of work for the both of us but there's nothing better than to see how proud Evan is of himself!! So sweet!!

Like I said, this past week BEGAN and ENDED with bee stings and throw up. Here's how my week ended...

Last Saturday afternoon I decided to take the boys on a drive around Chuckanut (I learned my lesson and didn't do the stroller thing again). As soon as we got in the car Paden began whining and then fell asleep. When we got home I layed him down on my bed and about an hour later I heard him screaming so I went in and picked him up and then he threw up on the both of us. He continued to do this all night long. In the morning I was in the kitchen feeling like I was going to be sick too when I felt a bee sting me. I almost started crying from the all the craziness and the lack of sleep I had. Luckily Robby came to my rescue like always and cleaned, cooked, and changed diapers!

Here are some pictures of Robby and Kai doing dishes.

Did I mention that I LOVE this man!

weekly roundup

I haven't been much into blogging lately so I'll just sum up what we've been doing this past week.......A WHOLE LOTTA NOTHIN!!!

That's right, for the last five days I haven't put makeup on, done my hair or even gotten dressed. It's probably because I stayed so busy when the weather was super sunny that now that it's turned cold and grey outside I have been on strike...or something? The only productive thing I have done was when home-girl made me go running with her a couple times (4 miles, not bad for a couch potato)!

Anyways, I hope you've had a more interesting and fun week than us Loveland's. Here are some pictures I took last Monday. For Family Night we went over to the church's parking lot for rides on the motorcycle, we played duck duck goose, had a real short lesson on temples and ate some yummy picnic food together. Right before we left I burnt my leg on the motorcycle (there's a pretty picture of that below).

Farmer's Market with Evan

Last Saturday was Evan's turn at the Farmer's Market and oh boy did he have a TON of fun...almost too much fun for me to handle. I was thinking that maybe Evan in a stroller would have been a better idea!

Evan got to choose his own raspberries, blueberries and carrots.

Evan also got to choose his own cupcake and popsicle...they were DELICIOUS!

Here he is enjoying all the wonderful treats he picked out.

I LOVE the Farmer's Market here in Bellingham especially when we have such beautiful weather!

Kid's Fair!

After a trip to the Farmer's Market Robby and I loaded up our strollers for a short walk to Bloedel Donovan Park and the "Kid's Fair."

These hats were so ridiculous!

The Favorite: playing on the bouncy toy

KEEPING COOL...

The past week here in Bellingham Washington the weather has been HOT HOT HOT! I'm talking not just the regular summer heat we enjoy but UNBEARABLY HOT. It's bad when your kids can't sleep and there's sweat dripping off their foreheads and you have no air conditioning. Then...you wake up to even more muggy heat. It was pretty bad.
Here are a few ways us Lovelands have been keeping cool...

1- Fairhaven Spay Park

2- Grandpa's Boat

3-Play Area in the Mall (air conditioning feels so good)

4- Sprinklers (that was until they put a city wide ban on our water)

5- Lake Whatcom's AM Beach
