Classy?

April: "Do you think I'm classy?"
Robby: "No. I've never thought you were classy."
April: "WHAT?!!"
Robby: (slapping my butt) "It's okay baby. You're still hot!"

classy- of high class, rank, or grade; stylish, admirably smart; elegant.
Nope that isn't what my husband thinks of me but hey at least I'm "hot"...!?!

22 weeks

video

For the past week I have attempted at feeding Kai rice cereal every day. He hasn't been too happy about it spitting it out and screaming at me! So today I added a little fruit to it and he was VERY excited!

My Monday

Yesterday was a pretty eventful Monday. Robby had the day off so after dropping Paden off at Miss Mimi's preschool we went over to the mall, walked around for a while and then ran into my friend Melody. Melody just opened up her own teeth whitening booth and offered to whiten my teeth for me. Of course I agreed! At first I was excited and then I got a little nervous. I've used the crest whited strips before but they hurt so bad and I thought fore sure this was going to be painful. Luckily it wasn't painful at all, I barely felt a thing.
The other reason I got nervous is because part of my front tooth is fake. When I was living in Utah and going to school one of my good friends ran into me with her laser gun while we were playing laser tag and part of my front tooth broke off. Because of this I was worried that the whitening process would leave that part of my tooth the same color and whiten the other part leaving me with two different colored teeth! I am happy to announce that my teeth are the same color just whiter! I highly recommend you go visit Melody at the mall!
Later on we picked Paden up from preschool and headed over to Fairhaven to try out a new local bakery in Fairhaven called Katie's Cupcakes. Almost everyone in RS was talking about this new delicious bakery (not sure how the lesson turned to cupcakes) so I was interested and that's where we went. The bakery is super cute inside. Robby and I both agreed that the cupcakes weren't all that great but I would for sure go again...they just weren't the best. This would be a fun place to hang out with your girlfriends...shop around Fairhaven, eat at the Colaphon, and then pick up a cupcake! What do you think?

Around bedtime I walked in the kitchen and found Evan on top of the table ripping apart my beautiful tulips. My bouquet went from twenty bright and happy tulips down to only eight really sad ones...rrrrrr!

flowers and cute boys

Yesterday I opened the door as I heard Robby coming up the stairs from a long day at work and this is what he was carrying!

I've had many conversations with women about flowers and most of you out there believe that flowers are just a big waste of money. I'm sorry but I totally disagree. If I had it my way I would have fresh flowers on my table every single day of my life.

When I see my cute husband walk through the door with a bouquet or two of tulips I DON'T think...what a waste of money or we could have spent that on something more important. OH NO the only thought that runs through my mind is...mmmm my husband just got a WHOLE lot sexier!! Sometimes Robby can just totally melt my heart. For most men out there flowers would be the last thing on their minds if they were to get up for work every day at 2am with only a few hours of sleep. Luckily though I'm not married to that man!

Okay, I'm done bragging now!!!

seattle

Early Saturday morning we left for the Seattle Temple because my younger brother David was going through for the first time. It was such a great experience being in the Temple with my entire family minus my older sister Jennifer.

We've had this little vacation planned for a few months now. We stayed in Seattle for three days at a really nice hotel right downtown overlooking the water.
Here are a few of the things we did while we were there.. shopping, eating at the cheesecake factory, playing in the pool, staying up late with the fam snacking and watching Marley and me in our room, and going to the zoo.

Right before this picture was taken Paden said while laughing, "I just peed!"
Poor Evan!

Trouble maker!

The funniest thing was watching these four play chicken. It was my dad on Robby's shoulders against Alyssa on David's shoulders!!!

zoo

Last Monday we finished off our fun family vacation in Seattle at the zoo. Being at the zoo was exciting for me because it was the first time that Robby had ever been to a zoo in his entire life! I had taken Paden and Evan to the Salt lake City zoo when Evan was a baby but Robby had to stay home.

This gorilla was an old grouchity man and I thought any moment he was going to pick up some poo and throw it at us. There was another gorilla that was tearing a sack up and wearing it and a mommy gorilla who had a baby on her back...too cute!

On this day the weather was so weird. There would be ice cold rain and wind and then a few minutes later it would clear up and be sunny. The nice thing was that we pretty much had the entire zoo to ourselves and could get away with acting a little bit more crazy than normal!

Here the boys are playing in an indoor play area. This was perfect for when the weather turned cold.

Eating lunch! Can you guessa what it is?

Ice cream dots! David was taking forever to take this picture and so my tongue was freezing, that's why I look like I'm in pain.

Here he is again the grumpy old gorilla!

This bear was so sweet! He walked up real close to us and was staring at us the entire time. Then when we were leaving he started to follow, what a sweetie!

High Five!

This monkey looks like he's too cool giving Paden a high five.

The sun came out!

Raising an Army

The other day Robby went to Haggens to pick up a few things for dinner. On his way home he stopped at the dollar store and brought home this gear for the boys.

Even Robby got in on the fun!?!

Check out my rolls!

This is the first time in my life that I will be displaying my yummy rolls for all of you to see!!

For the last few weeks my mom has come over to teach me how to bake bread. This has been a little difficult since bread baking hasn't been the easiest thing for me to learn and since my mom doesn't follow a recipe. The last few attempts at bread baking it just wasn't turning out or tasting the way my mom's usually do but I think that we actually got it this time! They are SO good.
I love this picture of the dough after it rose isn't it beautiful!

Called to serve...

in the Denver Colorado North mission!!!

For the past week David has been checking the mail to see if his mission call papers were in and finally Thursday February 5th they came! I got a very excited phone call from David's girlfriend Alyssa telling me he received them and that we needed to get to my mom and dad's house pronto. After playing phone tag with everyone in my family we decided to meet at my place (it was right in the middle for everyone). Mom closed the book store up early and Dad and my older brother Jonathon raced over taking a break from work.
As we anxiously waited for everyone to show up Robby blasted some music and everyone came running and dancing upstairs to the beat of Michael Jackson's "beat it" and "thriller"! The song "Called to Serve" probably would have been a little more appropriate but oh well. My Dad was the last to show and ironically had the thought that David would be serving in the exact place that his mission call had said he would. We all gathered around David as he opened and read that he would be serving in the Denver Colorado mission and would be entering the MTC May 6th! It was really fun sharing this moment with my younger brother. We talked for a few hours afterwards and then my parents took David out for dinner to celebrate!
I'm so proud of David for chosing to serve the Lord and sacrifice two years of his life. He will be greatly missed. I've always said David and I are the only normal ones in the family!!Haha What will I do with all these crazies by myself!

Every phone was on speaker!

So happy he's doing the russian dance!

Miss Mimi's Preschool

Paden's back in school!!!

For the last few months Paden has taken a break from preschool but now he's back! My friend Mimi started a preschool at her house and that is where Paden will be every Monday and Wednesday. I have been really excited about this because I know that he needs all the schooling he can get before kindergarten plus it keeps me on track teaching him the things he needs to know.

Here is what Paden has been up to in class...
recognizing his name
writing the first part of his name (he's really good at the letter P)
counting (he counts to fourteen at home but only to 2 at school!!)
reading time-this may be his favorite
circle time-he's more of an observer
Paden LOVES snack time!
Here's what Paden has to say about preschool..."We don't watch movies we just play with bubbles and soccer and the bad guys come a tons of thems. And they just jump. Remember they did that!"
"I also didn't do that stuff mom I just played soccer ball."

Miss Mimi's preschool sounds really exciting!

Home away from home!

Lately Civic Field has been our little home away from home.
Robby decided to do a small triathlon with his brothers and brothers in law this June. The triathlon is part of the Utah Summer Games in Cedar City. I also committed to my sister in law Beverly that I would run the 10K with her which I'm starting to regret!!!
After giving birth to Kai I told myself I would start exercising January 1st that turned into February 1st and now March 1st! Yes, I've been a little lazy but no more! Today March 2nd I ran for the first time in almost a year. My goal was a mile and I did it...for all of you runners out there that's pretty lame but I have to start somewhere right! I ran 1 mile in 10 min. and 40 sec...and I thought I might die!! Robby was almost twice as fast running a mile in 6 min.! He also took a picture of me out on the track which I will NOT be posting! Anyways here's to getting back in shape!
The most important reason why I love Civic Field...Paden and Evan get to run off all that energy they have. Which has been great since it's not easy or as much fun getting out during the winter.
