"you're not a good friend mom"

that's what Paden said to me in between sobs, "you're not a good friend mom!"

-This was all because I wouldn't let him play video games all day long, what a mean mom!

Here are some pictures from yesterday. Paden and I met up with my friend Kelsey, her daughter Macey, Jenna and Anna Kate. We met at toddler time at Bloedel Donovan Park.

A True Hippie!

This is kind of mean but....when Robby and I would get home from Church we would laugh at the dad's that would wear these types of baby slings to church and we'd say we would NEVER wear one of those!
Never say Never!
While my sister was here visiting she handed me her old baby sling and I almost started to laugh. I own a less-hippie baby Bjorn carrier and I absolutely love it but honestly when I put this sling on I actually liked it. Even Kai loved it, he got a huge grin on his face and started crying when I took it off.
I guess I've gone completely hippie.
It's time to put my birkenstocks on over my socks and go for a walk with this sling on. Anyone want to join me!

Fun with Cousins

My sister is visiting from Alberta with her four kids and it's been a party every single day since they've been here! Cousins are so important, it has been so much fun to see all of the grandkids on the York side playing and having a good time together. I love it! Here are pictures of some of the fun we've been having....

Differences between man and woman!

Mom's...dress kids up in cute clothes, comb hair, give a million kisses and take a million pictures!

Dad's...do fun stuff like this?!

Mmmm....Good!

Is there anything more comforting than the smell of homemade bread baking in the oven? I don't think so! Yesterday my mom gave us girls a little lesson in bread making. I can't count the amount of times she has attempted at teaching us this, we have a hard time concentrating when we get together...but it sure was delicious!

Family Fun Time

All of my siblings are here in town together and we've been having a fun time! My sister Jenny came to visit with her four kids. They came for my brother David receiving the Melchizedek Priesthood, David has also just finished his paperwork and will be leaving for a mission in a few months...yeah!
Yesterday we had some very beautiful weather! The sun was out almost the entire day...woohoo! I couldn't wait to go on a walk and enjoy it so I called my family up and made them go with me! Here are a few pictures of the whole gang. We walked from my house to Bloedel Donovan park, it was pretty hilarious (a little embarrassing) crossing the crosswalks and having a line of cars waiting, staring at the parade going by!

12 Weeks Today!

I can't believe it my little Kai guy is three months old, he just keeps growing!

I have enjoyed being a mother to my third child so much more than I EVER thought I could. I expected that juggling three young children would be a little chaotic and stressful and because of that I wouldn't enjoy my third baby as much as the others but I was wrong. (not wrong about the stress and chaos) I feel like I've never adjusted better to being a new mom and having a new baby in the house.

Here is what Kai has been up to...smiling, smiling, smiling! He is such a flirt especially to his mom, and I have been loving every minute of it. I'm sure he won't be smiling and cooing at me forever so I am loving this stage of his life SO much. Kai is also very much in love with his older brother Paden! Whenever he hears Paden's voice he turns his head and smiles. He's still not too interested in Evan mostly because Evan is a little dangerous, and is known to yell and jump right next to wherever Kai is...hopefully this will change one day!

Kai eats every three hours and sleeps six hours straight at night and then wakes up to eat goes back to bed waking up to eat every three hours after that. Kai I believe is suffering from a little bit of reflux, he is my little spitter upper, actually more like projectile vomiting (TMI)...poor guy.
Kai has also outgrown all of his 0-3 month clothes but I have been holding off on switching his wardrobe to the 3-6 month sizes probably because I don't want him to get any bigger! One more thing about Kai is that he LOVES to be swaddled.I wrap him up tightly in a blanket, stick a pacifier in his mouth, then wrap him up in a third blanket and magic...he's asleep within seconds. What an easy boy!

Civic Field Fun!

What do you do with another blistery cold foggy day? Why take the kids outside to play of course!

I love Evan running right here!

As soon as we got to the field I looked back to see where Paden had gone and saw that he was already half way down the track running as fast as he could go.

Lap 2 and with a huge smile on his face!

After playing and freezing at the track we headed over to the Sportsplex for a little indoor soccor. This was Paden's first time and he loved every minute of it. He was a little confused at what the coach was talking about but I'm sure in no time he will be my little soccor pro! By the way this was the only picture I was able to take before my batteries ran out...ugh!

Time to play ...

...OUTSIDE!
I have been having a hard time with all of this gloomy weather that we get during the wintertime. I think it affects me even more because I have small children that need to be outside running around burning off all that energy. Instead they stay cooped up inside driving me crazy trying to find stuff that will entertain them. So finally instead of waiting for the sun to grace us with her warmth, I took my boys outside to play!
I'm not a fan of freezing but it was nice to be outside and feel the breeze on my face and watch my kids having a good time.

Paden's "new girl"

This morning Paden said to me while looking at these pictures, "I love her mom. That's my girl mom. We got married and had a baby. Do you want to see it?"

One of my goals for the new year has been to invite families that we don't know that well or spend as much time with over for dinner. This is a big one for me because our place is so small and it has kept me from inviting others over in the past. But no more! We have already invited two families over in the past week it's been a ton of fun and really crazy too! As you can see Paden is just loving it! Liala was showing Paden some beautiful dance moves including how to twirl...aahhh. They were so cute together!
Yesterday before the Bjorns came over Jessica said to her daughter Liala, "we're going to Paden's house for dinner." Liala responded, "Oh you mean Spiderman's house!"
I figure if this house can handle two families with three kids each that are the same ages than we can handle just about anything! One more baby Robby??!!

breakfast...robby style!

Robby took a little break from work and woke me up to this...the cutest old fashioned glass bottle of milk, yummy doughnuts, my favorite cranberry walnut muffin, and beautiful yellow tulips! After what felt like a sleepless night because of a fussy baby this was a great treat!

Gratitude

I am so grateful to have friends whose kids are kind and loving towards my little boys. There isn't anything more beautiful than watching a child embrace and include another...especially when that child belongs to you!
I have really great friends (Saunders and Gordons) whose children are much older than mine and I am constantly amazed when I see Michelle or Ryan lovingly play with Paden and Evan. Or when Katie and Kelsie (two teenage girls) rescue me in Sacrament Meeting.
I love it when Ryan sees Paden at church and says while taking his hand, "Hey Paden! Come on, let's go to Primary!" I get so emotional just thinking about how that one little act of kindness can mean the whole world to a little three year old boy and it shows the depth of character Ryan has. I love it when Michelle finds ways to entertain Paden while I visit with her mom Mimi. How many kids do you know do this without any complaint? I don't think that there are many! So Mimi and Michelle...thank you for raising such beautiful loving and selfless children. I hope to one day see my own children sacrifice and serve others the way we have been served.

I'm sleepy.....

Last night I spent 5 hours at a friends house having a good ol time laughing and hanging out with a bunch of other friends, then got home around midnight, fed and changed the baby, woke up at 3am to feed the baby again, than was woken up at 4:30am by a thirsty 3 year old, and then again by all three of my boys two hours later who were ready to get up for the day....ugh!

growing up...!

Last Sunday was a pretty bid deal in the Loveland family, Paden graduated from Nursery and is now in Primary with the big kids! For this very monumental occasion I brought along my camera to capture the moment! As I was taking pictures someone came up to me and asked if I was the ward photographer...I thought that was pretty funny! No, not the ward photographer just a crazy picture taking kind of mom!
Paden had a great time in his new class and in Singing and Sharing Time. I heard he sat in his seat with a grouchy look on his face and then got upset when he was referred to as Paden and NOT Spidermen! The rest of the kids got a good laugh over that one!
It's kind of sad that I have a child old enough to be in Primary and that he's growing up so fast, soon I'll be sending him off on a mission!!! Boohoo!

date night!

Yesterday I went out on a date with my cutie husband Robby. For our date we walked to the kitchen table and spent 6 hours putting a puzzle together! Since we can't really afford to go out each week and pay a babysitter we have to get a little more creative...so this is the type of stuff we come up with. For dessert Robby made me a banana ice cream shake, It was delicious!
I'm a firm believer in going on dates with your husband. As a mom that spends all day with kids-I NEED a night out, even if it's just a date in our kitchen together, it's still one on one time talking and laughing together! The short time I get to be with Robby alone is priceless and afterwards I feel like I can tackle being a better mom to our kids...yeah for date nights!
