Okay, so I promise I will not be a constant blogger over weight gain and the many not so wonderful effects of pregnancy. However I am now at the end of my first trimester (12 weeks!) and here's an update on my life for the last couple of months.
-nausea (All day and all night! Will it ever end?)
-headaches (almost every day)
-increased saliva (sorry if that grosses you out, it grosses me out too)
-frequent urination (I'm up every 2 hours at night going to the bathroom)
-insomnia (due to the nausea and constant bathroom breaks)
-heightened sense of smell (I have to hold my breath and open windows when I change a diaper!)
-sensitivity to heat (I don't know why, but if the heater is on in the car, I begin to feel extremely
nauseous so my family has had to put on extra layers)
-weight gain (due to lack of
exercise and constantly eating to try and settle my stomach)
-irritability (Can you blame me?)
The first trimester is
definitely the hardest for me I feel and look worse than ever in my life.
If you've never been pregnant the suggested weight gain in the first trimester is 0-5 lbs. I haven't gained more than 5 lbs, however I look like I've gained about 15 due to losing just about every bit of muscle in my body! I'm also at that very wonderful stage in pregnancy where I have outgrown my regular clothes, but not big enough for maternity clothes. My new wardrobe consists of pajama pants and Robby's oversize t-shirts!
I can't
wait to start feeling better, start
exercising again and grow a cute belly.
I'm not too worried about my very attractive growing figure!
hahah! I've done this twice before and lost the weight both times. I just wanted to let out all of my frustrations, I really do enjoy being pregnant or
at least the thought that
there's a little person growing inside!
