Movie to watch!

Thank you Mimi for recommending this movie it was really good!
I haven't been much into watching TV or movies lately but decided to give this one a try, and I'm glad I did!
"Becoming Jane"is a romantic type of movie. I was expecting it to be another version of Pride and Prejudice, not knowing that it was about the life of Jane Austin the author of Pride and Prejudice.
It's been a while since I shed a few tears in a movie and I have to say it felt pretty good!!
If you haven't already give this one a try, it made me want to read all of the books written by Jane Austin!

2 Things to Complain About.....

1. NBA Lakers Playoff Games!

Robby is obsessed with the LA Lakers. Right now the playoff games are going on and recently in our home there hasn't been much talk of anything else. Ahhhhhhhh!!!
I know more about the NBA than I would like to and don't get me wrong basketball is my favorite sport to watch but everyone has their limits!
Anytime that the game is on it feels like WW3 in our house. The boys and I have learned that there is nothing worse than interrupting him during the game.
If the Lakers make it to the Championship round that means more games well into the month of June.
I'm not sure how much more I can take, I just want my sweet husband back and it looks like at least another month and a half before that happens!! Yeahhh!

2. Stains on my favorite shirt!!

Today for lunch we had tacos and of course I was wearing my favorite shirt. While I was putting the left over taco meat in a plastic container I some how splashed the liquid from the meat all down my shirt.
My wardrobe is very limited right now, none of my regular clothes fit me and I'm not ready to break out my maternity clothes quite yet! I have been wearing this particular shirt 2-3 times a week because it's the only thing from my pre-pregnancy clothing that still looks cute on, and now there is no hope of any cuteness for me here on out!!

So here you have it; my two complaints for the day!!

Sunny Saturday!!

This Saturday was absolutely gorgeous! It was so nice to wake up and see the bright sun. I decided to take advantage of the weather so I took the boys on a little walk to Whatcom Falls Park to feed the ducks!
After a walk through the beautiful paths and yes I brought my jogging stroller, we stopped to feed the ducks at this beautiful pond. Paden loved it he went through an entire loaf of bread! Evan sat, watched, and ate!

Afterwards we walked over to the playground, as you can see the boys had a great time! I just love Evan's little expression on his face below.

Later, we went over to my mom's house to take pictures of David and his beautiful date Megan before they headed off to the Senior prom. As you can see Megan wore a little coat over her dress to try and be as modest as she could for my mom!!!

Paden sneaking into Grandpa Sugarbear's "race car!"

David and his friends having dinner at my mom's house. My mom was kind enough to prepare a 5 course meal for them and also a different five course meal for the raw diet date that was there!

"Dance Dance Revolution"
Here we are playing "dance dance revolution" downstairs while they ate their dinner! I love Robby's face here and I look gigantic in this photo! If you've never played you have to give it a try.
I think this will be my workout for getting in shape after I have the baby!
My mom and my cousin Seth!

Even Paden got in on the fun!
Just another eventful Saturday!!

Tulip Festival!

The boys, posing in front of my favorite color tulips!

Evan found a nice spot near the daffodils to eat a dandelion!

Each year I make sure that we go to the tulip festival, and I've been waiting and watching for the weather to cooperate. This day was absolutely beautiful and sunny, I was even tempted to take my coat off but I didn't dare show off my big belly!

Some of these beautiful gigantic tulip were taller than Evan.

Every year that we've gone to the tulip festival we have always gone to Tulip Town, this year we decided to try something different and went to a place called Roozen Gaarde. I am so happy we found this place they had large open lawns where the boys ran and played with their daddy!

I am so happy amongst my favorite flowers!!

Robby, Paden, and Evan taking a little stroll.

Ahhh, so beautiful!

It was so hard getting the boys to look into the camera for a good photo!

Sitting on the froggy, Robby helped to get them to at least look in my direction.

The Only thing cuter than the flowers this day!

Evan was a little tired of taking pictures, and just wanted to run around.

It's so nice when a family outing works out even better than I could have planned.
I can't wait until next year!

Hooray for Grandparents!!

Yesterday my mom and dad came and picked Paden up for an afternoon out on their boat!

Paden was so excited he's been talking about it ever since. He told me about all of the buttons on the boat, hopefully he didn't do too much damage!

I am so grateful for my parents being the very best grandparents a child could ask for, it brings tears to my eyes.
I never had a relationship with either of my grandparents and whenever I was around them I never felt like they loved or wanted me near. Now that I have my own children and can see how much they are loved and how much my kids love their grandma and "grandpa sugarbear" I feel so much gratitude for the wonderful parents I have been blessed with.
One day I was watching Oprah, and there was a child psychologist on the show she said that the one thing kids want from their parents is to see their faces light up when they see them. My mom has always been so good at this and I can see her face light up when she sees my boys. Paden definitely knows that he is loved and feels completely safe with my parents.
While we were on vacation Paden said multiple times, " I need my grandma and grandpa".
Thank goodness for wonderful grandparents!!!

Mystery Solved!

This is how I feel all day and all night!

Like I said earlier our family has been dealing with a lot of different sicknesses, but we've found out what's going on! All Friday night Evan was throwing up, then Saturday Paden woke up with a weird rash covering his body, and then on Sunday and all Sunday night Paden began throwing up!
I never thought I would see that much vomit in my life! I'm still cleaning up all the laundry.
Yesterday we were able to get the boys into the doctor's office, and miraculously they began feeling better as soon as we met with our doctor! The doctor said that there's a weird 12 hour bug going around here in Bellingham. The rash on Paden was something entirely different and was just some weird virus that is similar to "fifths disease" but not the same. So mystery solved and now we are finally recovering!
The only weird thing is that we got home from our vacation Thursday night and by Friday night our kids caught some weird flu bug in Bellingham, of course!!
I'm still waiting for this nausea to go away, most women begin feeling better by 12 weeks and I am now in my 14th week of pregnancy and the last 2 weeks have been the absolute worst! Last night I had a total of 3 hours of sleep! I am beginning to wonder if I will ever get a good nights rest before the baby comes. ahhhhh

The ever expanding bra!

I don't know of any men that read my blog, so I'm gonna let it all hang out!!
Women's bodies are really quite amazing! No one ever tells you how much your breasts will change when you're expecting!
Before I became pregnant with Paden I was a 34-C, then almost instantly that changed. Just when I thought I couldn't get any bigger I began breastfeeding! When I finally decided to buy a new bra I went into Macy's and was sized at a 32-DD, yes you heard me right!! The lady in the store said that I needed a specially made bra that would cost over a hundred dollars. What!! I obviously did not do that, but decided to buy a much less expensive 34-D bra. Amazingly after I stopped breastfeeding I dropped down to a 32-B. It's like watching a magic show!
Today when I bent over, I discovered it was time to upgrade to a larger bra size! Even more joys of pregnancy!

Fifth Disease?

Here is an example of experiencing things I would probably never experience without being a mom!
Last night I woke up about 5 times cleaning up throw up from Evan's crib and spent most of the next morning and afternoon doing the same thing.
I was completely exhausted and ready for Robby to get home, when Paden woke up from his nap. He came over to me and sat on my lap so that I could "snuggle" him. While I was holding him I noticed a bunch of really weird bumps all over his foot that looked like some type of insect bites. As I took a closer look at his body I discovered these same bumps all the way up to his face. I became really freaked out and ran to his bed, expecting to discover a whole bunch of creepy crawlers. I kept visualizing him sleeping with bugs crawling all over his little body. As I searched I was surprised to find nothing, not even one small trace of an insect.
I called my mom franticly and she said instantly and very calmly, "Oh that's just fifth disease, all of you kids had it."
"What?"
Guess what, she was right. Paden has Fifth disease.
For all of you that don't know Fifth disease is a type of virus that usually only effects small children and is spread when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The symptoms are being tired and a sense of not feeling well, followed with bright cheeks. The last symptom is having a rash that usually only shows up when the body is really warm like after a bath. By the time the rash appears the person is no longer contagious.
More than 50% of adults have had Fifth disease and just don't know that they've had it because it often does not cause many symptoms.
So there you go, things you learn when you're a mom.
However, I still don't know what's wrong with Evan, maybe I should call my mom back!

Thursday morning....flying into Las Vegas!

Here we are leaving Bellingham for the sun a.k.a. Las Vegas!
Our little vacation was so much fun I didn't realize how much I had been missing the feeling of the sun on my skin! When we arrived in Las Vegas we spent the first part of our trip visiting with Robby's side of the family. It was so fun getting to visit with them since we don't get to see them too often. I mostly enjoyed watching Paden play and wrestle with 6 of his 9 cousins!
The last half of our trip we drove up through California stopping to play at the beach, Disneyland, and the Redwood Forest!
It's nice to be home but sad at the same time. Being able to play in the sun with my boys all day every day is something I don't get to enjoy as much living in Bellingham. I can't wait for summer!!
If you would like to see pictures from our trip just scroll down and click on "older posts" there's lots to see!!

Thursday evening....visiting and wrestling with family!

After flying into Las Vegas, Aunt Trecee was kind enough to let us stay with her (thanks so much) Here are pictures of the nephews wrestling with Aunt Cathy. As you can see Evan really enjoyed his Uncle Jesse!

Friday morning....Park!

Las Vegas, surprisingly has the coolest parks I've ever been to. Paden and Evan had fun playing with their cousin's Brendt, Cole, and Chase, while Aunt Tracee, Grandma Loveland, and I relaxed and enjoyed the sun!

Friday...Macayo's

Eating at Macayo's is a Loveland family tradition! Macayo's is a Mexican restaurant, and I'm sorry to say the worst Mexican food I've ever had!! hahaha! Oh well, it was fun hanging out with the family.

Saturday...Las Vegas Temple!

This was my favorite part of our trip. There is such a wonderful feeling walking around the grounds of the temple. It was alot of fun bringing our boys to where Robby and I were sealed together.

Saturday...more wrestling

Every time that we've visited the Loveland's there is always wrestling! Sorry Uncle Jimmy and Grandpa Loveland Robby is still the reigning champ! We'll see what happens when Uncle Dustin gets home from his mission!

Sunday...Huntington Beach

As you can see Paden had a great time, this was his favorite part of the entire trip!
We had record breaking weather this day, 95 degrees! Absolutely perfect!

Monday...Disneyland and California Adventure!

These are the only pictures I took at Disneyland because I dropped the camera right before Paden's first ride luckily we brought our video camera and I was able to fix our regular camera the next day.
Disneyland and California Adventure was so much fun! We were able to get in for free thanks to Uncle Jimmy for the free tickets! There's too much to write about here, sorry!!

Wednesday...Coastal River Farmhouse!

After driving for most of the day we stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in Crescent City California. It was the perfect place for us. The boys played in the huge yard and fed the horse. Plus, we had the entire house to ourselves and I was able to do all our laundry, so no laundry when we got home!!

Thursday...Redwood Forest

Here we are at the Redwood Forest in Northern California, exploring the largest trees in the world! It was really quite amazing! Paden was a little afraid of them he kept calling them "Monsters!" This is our last stop before heading home!

Baby at 12 weeks! The size of a tomato!

The Joys of Pregnancy!

Okay, so I promise I will not be a constant blogger over weight gain and the many not so wonderful effects of pregnancy. However I am now at the end of my first trimester (12 weeks!) and here's an update on my life for the last couple of months.

-nausea (All day and all night! Will it ever end?)
-headaches (almost every day)
-increased saliva (sorry if that grosses you out, it grosses me out too)
-frequent urination (I'm up every 2 hours at night going to the bathroom)
-insomnia (due to the nausea and constant bathroom breaks)
-heightened sense of smell (I have to hold my breath and open windows when I change a diaper!)
-sensitivity to heat (I don't know why, but if the heater is on in the car, I begin to feel extremely nauseous so my family has had to put on extra layers)
-weight gain (due to lack of exercise and constantly eating to try and settle my stomach)
-irritability (Can you blame me?)

The first trimester is definitely the hardest for me I feel and look worse than ever in my life.
If you've never been pregnant the suggested weight gain in the first trimester is 0-5 lbs. I haven't gained more than 5 lbs, however I look like I've gained about 15 due to losing just about every bit of muscle in my body! I'm also at that very wonderful stage in pregnancy where I have outgrown my regular clothes, but not big enough for maternity clothes. My new wardrobe consists of pajama pants and Robby's oversize t-shirts!
I can't wait to start feeling better, start exercising again and grow a cute belly.
I'm not too worried about my very attractive growing figure! hahah! I've done this twice before and lost the weight both times. I just wanted to let out all of my frustrations, I really do enjoy being pregnant or at least the thought that there's a little person growing inside!

"I'm so glad when daddy comes home!"

Daddy is definitely more fun than Mommy!!

Conference Sunday at the Loveland's!

Today was General Conference! I love this day, I look forward to it a little more each year. When I was younger my memories of conference were going to the stake center, having to sit quietly on hard uncomfortable chairs, and listening to talks I couldn't understand!
My how the times have changed!

We usually go to my mom's house and listen to Conference, but since my mom has been a little under the weather the family came to the Loveland's! For breakfast I made cinnamon rolls, (a conference tradition) we also had strawberries with fruit dip! Mmm Mmm!

After the morning session we ate even more! I made the very best homemade salsa and guacamole (yes, I'm bragging). We also had crackers, cheese, and meatballs. Okay it sounds pretty random but it was like a buffet of finger foods!

Here we are! What a beautiful family! Sorry Mom and Jenny I wish you were here. Most of my absolute favorite memories are of course hanging out with my family and laughing until I hurt. I am sure that's why I want so many kids. I want them to have the type of memories I have!
The more the merrier!

I can't end without including the best part of the day; the General Conference talks! What a blessing it is to be able to hear our prophet and apostles speak to us. There is such a strong feeling of the spirit that enters our home each time.
For the first time our new prophet President Monson spoke to us, it was exciting to hear his fun humor and sweet testimony. I also loved to hear him speak about his love for his wife!
Only 6 more months to go!

Just a little scare!

These last few days have been a little stressful for me and here's why...

On Tuesday I had an appointment with my midwife (yes I'm one of those crazy hippies that has her babies at home) well it came time during the appointment to check the baby's heartbeat and there was nothing. She spent what seemed like an eternity checking and checking and still no heartbeat was heard. She assured me that everything was probably fine and that the baby was still very small and in a weird angle, but that an ultrasound needed to be done. This was the first time I've left a prenatal appointment feeling more sadness than joy.

When I got home I set up the earliest appointment I could get which was for Friday. Two days later!! I tried to go about my day as normal as I could but feelings of nervousness and fear overcame me and I was constantly fighting back tears. I couldn't imagine continuing to feel this way for another two days. After I put the boys down for their nap I had a feeling to pray. I needed comfort and the only one that knew exactly how the baby was doing was Heavenly Father. As I was praying I instantly felt a complete calm come over me and feelings of peace assured that everything would be just fine.

Friday finally came! Robby and I went to the appointment and when we got there we had to waite for close to 40 minutes! The longer we sat there the more nervous I became and again I could feel the tears coming. We were finally brought into the room and the lady doing the ultrasound could see how anxious we were and so she began immediatly. The second she started we could see our little baby kicking and punching and stretching it's tiny little body!! It was the most beautiful thing to watch! The lady said, "I can't say for sure but it looks like a little girl!"

After going through this I have a deeper respect for anyone that has had to grieve over the loss of a child due to a miscarriage. And I am so grateful for the blessing that it is to have the wonderful gift of the Holy Ghost.

HAPPY APRIL FOOLS DAY!

Here's an old picture of my brother David! This is what he gets for giving me a hard time last Sunday, hahaha!!!! Who's laughing now?!

This used to be my absolute least favorite day of the year ever, thanks to memories of elementary school! I can still hear them now, "Happy April Fools, April you're a fool, hahaha!" Kids can be so sweet, can't they!

My husband has a great sense of humor and has changed my view on this strange day. Robby spent the entire morning calling each of our family members and playing April Fool's jokes on them, he's had me cracking up! Here are some of them...
"Guess what, April just got the results from the ultrasound and she's having twins!"
"Have you turned on the news? The cruise you were planning has been cancelled because of some problems with the dock!"
"Mom, Dustin(brother on mission) has been trying to get a hold of you, keep your phone on so he can call., it's urgent!"
"I know you've been building the crab pots for Dad's birthday but we just found some on sale and we bought them and gave them to him, he was so surprised!"

APRIL FOOLS!!
